I am a qualified teacher (City & Guilds 7307) & usually teach on a 1 to 1 basis in my workshop.

(I can come to your place dependent on distance etc)

 

Lessons can be arranged to suit individual requirements and pockets from -

 

TASTER SESSION

 

A hands on introduction to the joys of making shavings!

 

covering:

 

Workshop Health & Safety; Do’s & Dont’s; Machinery & Timber

 

Use of tools & safety equipment provided

 

Usually 2-3 hours ish

 

Every participant WILL produce a piece to take home & impress friends & family!!

 

 

Makes a great alternative; gift no experience necessary, just bring your enthusiasm

LESSONS arranged for most aspects of turning, e.g. spindle turning; bowl turning; end grain hollowing, in fact, anything that needs refinement, & are available in 2-6 hour formats

 

COURSES available e.g. four 2 hour lessons

 

1 or 2 day course (includes refreshments)

 

In woodturning there is no right or wrong way to use a tool-just a safe way

or

an unsafe one-let me take you along the safe route- it IS less painful
